Beyond the (Cis)Gender Binary Training

A New Training open to all JBBBS Volunteers (and prospective volunteers)

Tuesday, May 15, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
JCC, 333 Nahanton St, Newton

Gender is everywhere, impacting the way we structure our communities, navigate the world, and relate to one another. Our communities are no exception. In this interactive session, participants will have the opportunity to explore their own communities and how gender plays a role. We will explore terms and concepts related to gender identity and sexual orientation, ground the work of inclusion in Jewish Values, and provide strategies we can implement to ensure that our communities are warm, welcoming, and inclusive of all individuals, regardless of gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation.

Please RSVP to Vanessa at administration@jbbbs.org by May 8th with the event title and date in the subject line. If you will be bringing a guest, please include yourself and your guest’s name in the body of the email.

This training will be facilitated by Daniel Bahner, National Director of Education and Training of KESHET, a national organization that works for full LGBTQ equality and inclusion in Jewish life.
