Penny and Larry Goodman
For their dedication in making a difference in the Jewish and broader Boston community for more than thirty years, their vision and leadership and their commitment to having an impact on the lives of children in need. They inspire others to follow in their footsteps.
Larry and Penny have been active in the Jewish and broader community in Boston for the past thirty years.
Following graduation from George Washington University, Penny joined Harcomm Associates and later became the initial Director of the Starlight Foundation of Massachusetts. Penny is the immediate Past President of Women’s Philanthropy for CJP. She is also a past member of the CJP Board of Directors and past Campaign Chair for Women’s Philanthropy. For the past 12 years, Penny has been a Visiting Mom through JF&CS. Penny also co-chairs the Friends of Women’s Health at Boston Medical Center.
Following graduation from Boston University, Larry joined Ernst & Young where he has been a partner for the past 20 years. Larry currently sits on CJP’s Board of Directors as well as the Commission for Strategic Priorities and the Israel and Overseas Commission. Larry is the Past Chair of Israel and Overseas as well as the Past Chair of the Boston Haifa Partnership. Larry also sits on the Charitable Trust for Boston Medical Center. He also served for several years as The Treasurer for Temple Beth Avodah and as the Treasurer for Pine Brook Country Club.
Penny and Larry live in Newton and have two adult sons: Jeff who lives in New York City and works as an accountant with Ernst & Young and Jon who is a sophomore at the University of Southern California.
