On this as on every Rosh Hashanah, we are reminded that life is changeable, ephemeral, precious. We remember that the more we lend our strength to someone facing adversity, the more we strengthen ourselves. The more we take care of one another, the better off we all are – as people and as a unified community.
At Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, we are proud and humbled that support for children, for adults, and for families is the very essence of our work. This has been an unusual and a difficult year for us as an organization. Yet, we are overjoyed that, with your help, we have been able to provide mentoring, camp and college scholarships, holiday gifts…the same high level of care and attention as we always have. We thank you very much for making such a difference in our ability to do our work and perform our mission.
As the Torah cycle draws to a close on Simchat Torah, together we stand and say:
“Chazak, Chazak, v’nit-chazayk!” Be strong, BE STRONG, and we will strengthen one another.
Nothing could be more important for our shared future. As we move to this season of joy, celebration, and somber reflection, the Board of Directors and staff of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters wishes you a happy, healthy, and very sweet New Year.
