When my children went off to college, I made three resolutions:  I was going to get a paying job, I was going to stop going to board meetings, and I was going to become a Jewish Big Sister.  I accomplished only two out of three. Having served on many boards in our community, I was ready to volunteer in a much more tangible capacity.  Being a Big Sister has been more than gratifying…I have the opportunity to impact the life of a young person and along the way go to Plaster Fun Time, see Disney movies, and jump on trampolines.  My “Little” is a very important part of my life, and I cherish every moment with him. I am still going to board meetings, but I feel fortunate to sit on the board of JBBBS…no politics…all mission…all about serving families in need of support.  My love for the agency is infectious; my husband, Mark, now has the fever and agreed to be a co-chair of the 2016 Gala.  We have enjoyed the event in previous years and can’t wait to celebrate at The House of Blues with our friends and family.  Working on the Gala has deepened our commitment to the agency and its incredible staff, and we now have two new friends-our co-chairs, Betsy and Steve Rosen!

We cannot wait to see you on March 5 as we celebrate the work of the agency!
