Meet Beth Cohen, a volunteer with Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters who cycled 100 miles last week at the Rodman Ride for Kids! There is still time to support and congratulate her on this amazing accomplishment!
Why do you ride in the Rodman Ride for Kids? I ride for many reasons. It’s fun and supports a great agency! I’ve been a Big Sister for over 11 years and I see what an incredible organization this is. My Little Sister is now a sophomore in college, studying engineering like I did! I’m lucky we’ve become friends over the years.
Anything else? I ride because it’s a challenge. I see how important Bigs and Littles are to each other, and I try to raise as much money as I can to support future matches. I like to rise to the physical challenge, which, for me, was 100 miles this year! I ride because an awesome community is created between bikers and volunteers on that day. I love meeting new friends along the route.
And? Crossing the finish line is exhilarating! It was a huge feat for me as a rider, knowing I just rode 100 miles, knowing I was helping create future Big/Little matches…and, with a big smile on my face, knowing I’d be riding again next year!
