A new workshop open to all JBBBS Volunteers (and prospective volunteers)
Thursday, October 4
JCC, 333 Nahanton Street, Newton
6:00 – 8:30PM – Light dinner will be provided
During this workshop, we review stages of child development and how trauma impacts children socially, emotionally, and physically. We will closely examine how trauma responses are physiological and adaptable and explore how trauma presents within young people. The training concludes with review and practice of trauma-informed strategies to use to best support child survivors of trauma and violence.
JBBBS volunteers are often matched with Littles and Friends who have experienced difficulties throughout their lives. This workshop is meant to serve as a resource for our JBBBS community. We hope you will join us!
RSVP to Lauren at Lauren@jbbbs.org by September 27th.
This workshop is co-facilitated by The Second Step.
