Jeffrey Savit is celebrating his first anniversary as President and CEO of JBBBS
Thank you to the JBBBS staff, board and volunteers for making my first year at JBBBS so meaningful and impactful. I hope you will watch this video as I share my reflections on this personal milestone.
Rodman Ride for Kids
Rodman Ride for Kids went virtual this year! Even though this year was a little different, our amazing team still got out and rode, walked, and climbed their way to their goals. Together, more than 50 participants raised more than $100,000. It is not too late to donate to Team JBBBS. If you have not already, please consider donating to our Rodman Ride Team. 100% of proceeds go directly to JBBBS.
A pandemic was not going to slow JBBBS down from supporting its 45 college scholars with scholarships. In the spring, JBBBS moved forward with its commitment to these students and is thrilled to provide $244,000 in college scholarships. Our scholars are attending schools this fall, whether in person or virtually, and we are so happy we are able to support them during these challenging times.
New Partnership with PeaceLove
JBBBS is excited to announce our new partnership with PeaceLove, an organization that promotes mental well-being by using creativity and self-expression to inspire, explore, and communicate. JBBBS volunteers now have unlimited access to virtual workshops that they can do with their Friends and Littles. JBBBS recently hosted its first virtual PeaceLove Match Meet Up Event for our Children’s Program and is excited to arrange more in the future. Visit PeaceLove’s website to learn more about their amazing workshops. PeaceLove is generously funded by the The Daniel E. Offutt, III Charitable Trust.
Zack Malenfant Director of Operations At JBBBS since January 2017
What does your job entail? My role at JBBBS focuses on operations and technology so that the Programs and Development staff can spend majority of their time working with the Matches and donors rather than on our processes and tools. I help support both major events like the Centennial Celebration as well as the day-to-day needs in the office.
What path led you to your current role at JBBBS?I originally came to JBBBS to project manage the Annual Gala in 2017. By the time the gala had come around, I had become so absorbed by the JBBBS team and all of the amazing work this agency does, that I stuck around, and now I get to contribute to many of the programs beyond the gala.
What motivates you most about your work at JBBBS?I feel motivated whenever I get to meet the Friends, Bigs, and Littles and hear the impact JBBBS has had on their lives. It not only motivates me professionally, but has also impacted me personally as I have gotten involved outside of work. I have volunteered in the children’s program and am currently matched to my friend, Zack, in the MAGIC program.
