A New Training open to all JBBBS Volunteers
(and prospective volunteers)
Monday, June 18, 7:00 p.m.
The training will focus on the challenges and fulfillment of working with refugee and immigrant populations. We’ll discuss refugee and immigrant experiences before and after coming to the US and tease out distinction between different immigration statuses and how they impact families. We’ll also talk about how to be sensitive of culture and life experience while trying not to assume or project specifics onto an individual or family.
Please RSVP to Vanessa at Vanessa@jbbbs.org by June 11th with the event title and date in the subject line. If you will be bringing a guest, please include yourself and your guest’s name in the body of the email.
This training will be facilitated by Jewish Family Service of Metrowest.
