I participate with Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters in the Rodman Ride for Kids to give back to the community. I enjoy meeting new people every year and participating in a fun event while raising money for such a great cause. Being a Big Brother has taught me many important life lessons, and I am so grateful and fortunate to be able to give back. I have been matched to my Little Brother for close to three years now. I have seen him mature into a young man who’s looking forward to attending high school this fall. Every time I see him, too, his face lights up with excitement. Whether we go to the movies, bowling, laser tagging, exploring Boston or attending a sponsored event with JBBBS, our time together is quality.
For anyone interested in or thinking about joining this wonderful organization, I have nothing but praise and admiration for everyone who works there, and everyone who’s a part of it. They continue to strengthen our whole community. I encourage anyone and everyone to participate in the Rodman Ride this fall. Whether you enjoy exercising, meeting new friendly faces, or simply understand the importance of giving back, it’s a good opportunity to learn more about JBBBS – and it’s fun.
