The Match Effect

When a JBBBS match becomes a trusted, lasting friendship that continues to shape both lives beyond the program.

Amy Geller - Friend 2 Friend

Amy Geller is an award-winning filmmaker, creative producer, and Assistant Professor of Production at Boston University. Former Artistic Director of the Boston Jewish Film Festival and past President of Women in Film & Video/New England, Amy has been a dedicated Friend to Friend volunteer with Jewish Big Brother Big Sister since 2019. In her spare time, she loves traveling to distant places.

Adam Gross - Mentorship Program

Adam became a mentor to give back the support and guidance he received growing up. He lives in Sudbury with his wife, Lee, and is the founder of Peak Health Advocates, where he helps clients navigate insurance, billing, and care coordination challenges. Before launching his business, Adam held leadership roles in healthcare technology at companies including Pega and Tufts Health Plan.

Andrew Holmes - Friend 2 Friend

Andrew is a Benefits Analyst in Human Resources and has been a dedicated JBBBS volunteer for more than six years. Inspired to get involved through a workplace volunteer opportunity, he has remained engaged because of the meaningful connections, shared experiences, and sense of community the program fosters. Through his time with JBBBS, Andrew has gained a greater appreciation for listening, open-mindedness, and learning from people with different perspectives. Outside of work and volunteering, he enjoys lap swimming, playing chess, and spending time with his wife and their two adventurous cats.

Robert Ward - Mentorship Program

Robert V. Ward Jr. has spent his career advancing education, public service, and mentorship. After earning degrees from Northeastern University and Suffolk University Law School, he served as a prosecutor, law professor, and dean. A longtime community leader and mentor, Ward has volunteered with Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2014, continuing his commitment to guiding and supporting young people.
