Judy Shankman

Judy has been involved with JBBBS for over two decades as a Big Sister, Board

Member, and former Board Chair. Her commitment to the agency stems from a desire to contribute to the Jewish community in the most meaningful and tangible way. As a Big Sister, she can attest to the fact that building relationships has the ability to transform and touch the life of another individual. Her Little Brother has aged out of the program but they have maintained a strong bond and long-lasting friendship. Judy is currently a nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital and plans to retire this year. She lives in the Back Bay and Cape Cod with her husband Mark and a new puppy named Milo. Judy most enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her interests include exercising, reading, cooking and volunteering. Being part of the JBBBS family has been her most gratifying volunteer experience and has been the catalyst to garner support for the agency from her friend and family networks.
