Suzanne Afergan

Suzanne Afergan, a Cincinnati, Ohio native, has lived in the Boston area for more than 20 years. She brings experience in mentorship and youth education, with roles at Temple Israel in Boston and multiple Big Brothers Big Sisters organizations. 

Suzanne previously served as a Social Worker at JBBBS. As a Board Member, she co-chairs the Program Committee and is a member of the Camp Scholarship Committee at JBBBS. Suzanne also volunteers at Welcome Home, sits on the Advisory Board of Temple Emanuel in Newton, and is a member of the 2025–2026 Acharai class of Combined Jewish Philanthropies.



Suzanne, her husband Mike and two children live in Newton, MA. Their family spent several years living in Singapore and traveling around the region. Suzanne and her family enjoy spending time traveling around the US to visit family, exploring new sites around the world, and especially visiting family and friends in Israel.
