A Message from Next CEO, Lauren Korn

June 24, 2024

Over my last 6 years at JBBBS, I have had the privilege to get to know many of our matches. I have seen first-hand the incredible impact our programs have on everyone involved. I am humbled to have been chosen to lead this amazing agency forward and am excited for what is to come.

As a proud Jewish woman and mother of three Jewish teenagers, the oldest of whom is off to college in the fall, I am keenly aware of the moment we are in now. 105 years ago, JBBBS was founded to support Jewish children at a time when Jews were excluded from social services, and we continue this mission today. I will be proud to lead JBBBS with a capital J.

As some of you know, we are finishing up our year-long strategic plan work. As co-leader of this process, I am thrilled to turn our strategy into a reality as the agency’s next leader. I look forward to leading the organization and working collaboratively with the incredible JBBBS staff, Boards, volunteers and community partners to further advance our mission. I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

Mentorship has had a profound impact on my life, and I would not be here today without it. Navigating the working world as a mother comes with its own challenges. I had incredible mentors who helped me find my on-ramp back into the working world. They supported, encouraged and dared me to dream BIG. I am forever grateful to these people and my mission is to connect more people with their lifelong mentors and friends who will inspire and uplift them along their journeys.
